Water-break-its-neck This spectacular cascade tumbles through a narrow ravine and down into the Summergil Brook at Llanfihangel Nant Melan. According to local tradition, this was one of Llywelyn ap Gruffydd’s hideouts during the final struggle for Welsh independence. The cave was also home to a hermit in the 18th century, and his graffiti can still be seen on the cave’s walls. In the nineteenth century the ravine was landscaped and became a popular local tourist attraction.
