Medieval stained glass at Llanfair Dyffryn Clwyd - who was St Thomas of Hynde? The Vale of Clwyd from the Clwydian range | Webblog | Links | Contact us |
Llanfair Dyffryn Clwyd Llanfair Dyffryn Clwyd has an excellent village pub where the local Accoustic Music Group meets once a week. The church has a memorial to a fourteenth-century Welsh knight with a strange beast, part cat, part lion, on his shield. In one of the south windows is a jumble of medieval stained glass. You can see parts of the Crucifixion, hands and feet of saints and bits of writing.
