Clwydian Range

This ridge of open moorland studded with Iron Age hill forts has some of the best views of the whole Cistercian Way: Snowdonia in the west, the coast to the north, the Dee estuary to the east and the hills of mid Wales to the south.

More about the hill forts and masses of detail about the history and landscape of the whole area on the Clwyd-Powys Archaeological Trust web site.
